Common questions about Android development

Native with Kotlin or cross-platform?

For robust or data-sensitive apps, usually native. If you need iOS and Android quickly in parallel, cross-platform can be a good fit — we assess that for your specific case.

Jetpack Compose or classic Views?

Mostly Jetpack Compose for new apps. In existing apps, we work with the approach already in place.

How do you handle Android's device diversity and older versions?

We define the supported devices and Android versions up front and test against the relevant range, so the app runs reliably everywhere.

Can AI run directly on the device?

Yes. With on-device ML — for example via ML Kit or built-in models — many AI features stay local.

Do you support managed device fleets and MDM?

Yes, including kiosk mode and configuration for managed devices across the company.

How do you distribute apps outside the Play Store?

Via Managed Google Play and enterprise distribution, without a public release.

How securely do you store sensitive data?

Via Android Keystore, encryption and protection with BiometricPrompt. For particularly sensitive data, we keep the processing on the device.

Does the app work offline?

Yes, with local data storage and later synchronisation.

Do you take over an existing Android app or modules?

Yes — individual modules or the whole app, including code written by others.

How do you keep the app current as new Android versions arrive?

Through maintenance with regular updates for new Android versions, devices and security requirements.
